December's Message From Our President Kimberly Allen
Life is a succession of moments. To live each one is to succeed. -Corita Kent
I have decided that I am going to simplify my Christmas this year. According to that old famous
Christmas Carol…isn’t this supposed to be “the most wonderful time of the year”? Well, I am here to
tell you, it is one of the most stressful times of the year for me. My goodness, I believe it was the night
before Halloween, when I heard Silent Night playing over the intercom in Wal-Mart. Didn’t Black Friday
start early this year too? Oh, so many temptations, but I am not giving in. I am not stressing out
over who is coming to Christmas dinner. I am not going to stress out on Christmas Eve, pondering on if
I bought enough Christmas presents for the family. I am not going to take 1 million pictures of the
girls in hopes of them giving me the “perfect” smile for my Christmas cards. I am not going to feel
guilty if I cannot donate my change to the Salvation Army bell ringer every time I pass by him when
entering the malls.
What I am going to do this year is enjoy my family. I am excited to say that this will be the first year
that the girls fully understand what Christmas is all about. To our family, it is the celebration of Jesus’
birthday. It is the tradition of picking out our live Christmas tree, visiting Santa and riding the Pink
Pig at Lenox Square Mall. It is watching “A Christmas Story” and “Charlie Brown Christmas” on TV.
It is hanging our stockings by the chimney with care.
With all of this said, there are two things that I absolutely will not miss this Christmas…GMOM
BINGO and the GMOM Christmas Party…what better way to kick off the season?
I hope each of you have a wonderful holiday with your family. I look forward to seeing you at our new
location for 2009!
Happy Holidays to you all,
~ Kimberly

Spring Retreat!
Denyse McGrath & Allison Heinen
As we begin this holiday season, the words “I am freezing”, and “oh, when will it warm up” will
start to slip from our lips. Here is a thought to keep you warm and give you something to
look forward to- the Spring retreat. What is the Spring retreat you ask? It is an opportunity
for moms of multiples, moms of our club, to sneak away to a relaxing beach destination and
“chill out” in the sunshine. The retreat is a place for you to get closer with friends, get to
know someone better, and best of all, just be yourself. When is the last time you ate a meal
without 50 interruptions, slept past 6 A.M., or read a book without lots of rhyming words
and colorful illustrations? Spring weekend is about you and what you want to do with no
itinerary, no pretenses, and no CHILDREN- sounds like a fantasy-doesn’t it?
Spring Retreat will be held this year from Thursday, April 30th through Sunday, May 3rd
It will be on the gulf coast side of Florida in Ft. Walton Beach and will cost about $200.00 a person
(probably slightly less). This price is for the room and includes taxes. There will be 6 people
to a condo. Check out Azure Condominiums in Ft. Walton Beach at their link
here.
This location is just minutes from fantastic restaurants, shopping, and fun night life.
We need a $75 deposit from 12 people by December 30th to make this trip more than a
fantasy! This is the perfect Christmas gift to you from your loving family and the money you make
from our Clothing Sale will provide the remaining balance as well as your spending money on the trip.
For the past 2 years we have gone and had a blast! It has been great getting to know each
other, hanging out with old and new friends, and truly getting an appreciation for our families
as well as having them gain a new appreciation for us! Please
e-mail us if you have further questions, would like more information,
or are ready to send off your deposit. Do not miss this opportunity!
E-Mail us here: Denyse or
Allison.
